Pet Policy

The staff and management of Happy Trails RV Rentals, LLC (Happy Trails) understand that you may consider your pet as an important part of your family. Therefore, we do allow “invisible pets” in our units. However, there are some rules and regulations that you must agree to when it comes to your animals.


ADDITIONAL RENTAL CHARGES
  1. An additional $20 per night charge is added to the rental price.

INVISIBLE PET
  1. The pet must be an “invisible pet.”
  2. The term “invisible pet” means that when the unit is returned, we should not see any visible signs that there was an animal in the unit. This includes, but is not limited to: pet hair, carpet or fabric stains, carpet or fabric tears, damage of window coverings, pet food, and any smell or odor associated with an animal.
  3. If evidence of a pet is found, you are subject to the following:
    1. At minimum, a loss of your security deposit.
    2. Excessive cleaning charges will be billed at $95 per hour.

RESPONSIBILITY OF DAMAGE AND LOSS
  1. The Renter is responsible for damage to the unit which occurs during the rental period as a result of having a pet in the unit. This includes damage to both the inside of the unit and the outside of the unit.

RESTRICTIONS
  1. Only Service Animals and small domesticated animals are allowed in the units.
  2. A cage/kennel is required. If you are away from the unit at any time, you must put your pet in a cage/kennel. The pet may not have free roaming of the unit while you are away.

NON-DISCLOSURE OF A PET
  1. If evidence of a pet is found and it was NOT disclosed at the time of the reservation, you will be subject to a $20 per night fee for the entire period of your rental, along with an automatic $200 loss in your security deposit.

OTHER
  1. We ask that you do not allow your pet to be on ANY of the furniture in the rental unit. This includes the seats, sofas, dinette area, overhead bunks or beds. Please be respectful, remember, where your pet may be lounging is where the next renter may be laying their head for a good night’s rest.
